The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has announced that the 2026 CAF Super Cup final between Mamelodi Sundowns and USM Alger will be staged on South African soil on Sunday, 8 November 2026.

Masandawana clinched their second CAF Champions League crown at the expense of Moroccan outfit AS FAR, 10 years after they had landed their first star.

Miguel Cardoso’s charges won the first leg 1-0 in Tshwane before playing to a 1-1 away stalemate in Morocco to conquer Africa.

Alger on the other hand defeated Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek SC 8-7 on penalties to claim their second title in the competition. In the first leg, Alger secured a dramatic 1–0 victory thanks to a late spot kick from Ahmed Khaldi before the White Knights won their home tie with the same scoreline.

On Monday, CAF made the announcement of the latest developments on the continents’ major competitions.
