CT City Set Sights On Bafana’s Chief Analyst

Cape Town City have set their eyes on Bafana Bafana and Sekhukhune United head analyst and chief scout Sinesipho Mali for next season.

The Citizens are reportedly seeking to bolster their technical team by appointing Mali, who works as Head Tactical Analyst for Bafana and Head of Analysis and Scouting at Babina Noko.

The team has experienced a recent slump, losing five of its last six matches, including elimination from the Nedbank Cup. Following Grant Veitch’s departure, who served as Head of Youth and Scouting, City are looking to strengthen their club structure.

The Eastern Cape-born, who played a crucial role in Bafana’s bronze medal win at the AFCON in Ivory Coast and their qualification for the recent tournament in Morocco, is the top candidate for the position, this publication has learnt.

To secure Mali’s services, City will need to present a substantial offer, with the goal of having him work closely with Muhsin Ertugral, who will assume the role of Technical Director next season.

Mali’s expertise would be instrumental in enhancing the team’s performance and facilitating a seamless transition of youth players to the senior team.
