Fadlu Davids Simba SC have extended their unbeaten run in the Tanzanian Premier League to 19 games, closing their gap on leaders Young Africans to just four points.
Simba beat 13th-placed Pamba 5-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Jean Ahoua and a brace by Leonel Ateba on Thursday afternoon, in another of their catch-up games.
Davids’ men now only sit four points behind rivals Yanga, having another game in hand. The Reds of Msimbazi are now unbeaten in 19 successive league games, winning 17 of them.
Simba and Yanga will still face each other in what likely will become the title decider in Tanzania.
Overall, Simba have five league games remaining, the next in three days time against KMC.
