Stellies Star Poised For Pirates Switch

Stellenbosch FC midfielder Sihle Nduli is poised to join Orlando Pirates next season, upon the expiry of his contract with the Cape Winelands outfit.

Nduli, 29, has been subject of interest from Gauteng since establishing himself as one of the key figures at Stellenbosch over the last two seasons.

The exit of Sibongiseni Mthethwa to Kaizer Chiefs quickly elevated his importance in Steve Barker’s set-up and became a commanding presence at the base of their midfield.

This season, he’s been an ever-present figure with 41 appearances to his name and the only goal he netted, fired them into the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup as he scored the winning goal in Cairo for an historic win to eliminated African giants Zamalek.

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs were mooted as potential suitors in recent months, with his contract notably coming to an end in June, but iDiski Times has it on good authority that a verbal agreement has been reached to join the Buccaneers next season.

Nduli racked up over 100 appearances for the club since his arrival from TS Galaxy in July 2022.
