Egypt assistant coach Roger De Sá has opened up on the experience of working with Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.
Salah is widely considered as one of the greatest players of his generation and is currently the leading African goalscorer in Premier League history.
But the former Orlando Pirates mentor admits he’s still seeking to make an imprint for the Pharaohs on the global stage.
“I think all that is missing in his career is World Cup performance and I think that is what he is looking for,” De Sá told SuperSport.
“I think he carries a team a lot and I think he needs to drop off that pressure and play a little bit more. We spoke to him about that, he is a lovely man, a fantastic human being and a great player as well.
“To work with him day in and day out is incredible. He’s very normal, very humble, a great guy to coach, and he’s always willing to give 120%. To work with him day in day out is great but all the others are just as good.”
Salah is the second-highest scorer in Egypt national team history with 47 goals in 82 caps, trailing Hossam Hassan who scored 68 goals in 176 appearances.
