South African talent Ridhaa Jacobs has been invited to train with Moroccan giants Raja Athletic Club in Morocco.
Jacobs, 18, a central midfielder from Hannover Park who plays for the Eagles Performance Academy in the Western Cape Two Oceans City stream.
“The assessment comes after ongoing engagements between Eagles Performance Academy and various clubs around the world, including Raja,” Rasthoem Simons of 5sSports told iDiski Times.
“The possibility came via ongoing engagements to have a possible link between the Eagles of the North with the Eagles from the South.”
Jacobs will fly out on Tuesday and train with Raja for 12 days, having a chance to impress former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer.
Raja are still unbeaten in the Botola Pro under Zinnbauer this season, winning 15 games and drawing nine to find themselves in second place, four points behind Nasreddine Nabi’s AS FAR.
Raja assistant Fadlu Davids also came to visit the Eagles Performance Academy recently and is currently in Switzerland for his UEFA Pro Licence.
