Wydad Athletic Club attacker Thembinkosi Lorch has been nominated for the March Player Of The Month accolade at the club.
Lorch seems to have settled immediately at Wydad since completing his loan move in January from Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Nyoso” had a good month of March where he was rated as one of the best players in their 2-2 draw against FUS Rabat.
He then scored his first goal in the Red Castle colours against Ittihad Tanger in their 1-1 draw which has seen the Bafana Bafana midfielder been nominated alongside midfielder Mohamed Rayhi who played three games and scored two goals in the Excellence Cup.
Mohamed Moufid is the third player that has been nominated after playing three games in March and scoring one goal against FUS Rabat in the Throne Cup and helped his side to advance to the round of 16.
The winner of the award will be announced in the coming days, with South African winger Cassius Mailula having won the previous month’s award.
Wydad have five crucial games remaining in the Botola Pro as they aim to finish in the second place and qualify for the CAF Champions League after RS Berkane were confirmed as the champions. AS FAR sit in second place two points ahead of Wydad.
