South Africa U20 goalkeeper Fletcher Lowe has been rewarded with a new contract by his Portuguese side Estoril Praia.
Lowe has had a good AFCON in Egypt where he played seven games, kept four clean sheets and produced one assist which was in the final. The Estoril Praia goalkeeper was also named U20 AFCON goalkeeper of the tournament.
After being with Portuguese giants Benfica, the former Fish Hoek & Ubuntu junior, who has been in Portugal for the past four years, joined Estoril in 2024.
The 18-year-old has been highly praised by most South Africans for his exploits at the AFCON tournament which has now seen Praia rewarding Lowe with a three-year contract that will expire in June 2028.
