Motsepe Makes Important Announcement

The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe has made an important announcement at the sandton Convention Centre on Wednesday.

Motsepe had invited local journalists for an important announcement on Wednesday, when the renewal of the partnership between Africa Global Logistics and CAF was officially sealed.

“It’s an exciting and symbolistic moment for Africa Global Logistics,” AGL CEO Philippe Labonne stated.

“I’m proud to announce the renewal of our partnership with CAF. We’ll once again be the logistics partner of the Men’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 and the Women’s Africa of Nations in 2025.

“Today we are proud to extend our relationship and to strengthen it. This is a long-term commitment, a family commitment and this commitment is ankered in a shared vision with CAF.

“We really believe that football is more than a game.

“Our role as logistics partner is to ensure that every major competition of CAF runs smoothly, reliably and sustainably.”

Meanwhile, CAF president Motsepe added that the continuation of their partnership with AGL, which is a subsidiary of the MSC Group, owned by the Aponte family, will allow the federation to continue their work on the continent.

“It’s a great honour for CAF to be with the Aponte family,” an excited Motsepe added.

“It doesn’t mean just because it’s a family I wouldn’t want lots of money from it. The importance of the money is that every single cent we get goes to football development, youth academies, football for boys and girls, and our member associations.

“The partnership with AGL will allow us to give more money to our associations.

The news come after CAF already announced a partnership with Royal Air Maroc, who became the Official Global Partner’ for Africa’s biggest upcoming football competitions, the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024.
