Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Nyasha Mushekwi has won the 2021 Chinese League One Golden Boot with Zhejiang Greentown.
At the age of 34, the Zimbabwe international is showing no signs of slowing down as he netted 23 goals in 32 league games – three goals ahead of Nigerian duo Chisom Egbuchulam and Kingsley Onuegbu of Meizhou Hakka and Shaanxi Chang’an Athletic respectively.
His efforts have fired Greentown to the playoffs early next yeat where they will look to finally return to the Chinese Super League after five unsuccessful attempts.
The robust striker previously won promotion with Dalian Yifang back in 2017 and went on to score 54 goals in 91 games for the club before joining Greentown in 2019.
