Ncikazi On Pirates’ Mandate Ahead Of Alger Visit

Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi says they only have one mandate which is to win their match against MC Alger to progress to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.

The Buccaneers hold a huge 1-0 advantage against the North Africans courtesy of Mohau Nkota’s strike ahead of the crunch clash eSgodini later this afternoon.

Speaking ahead of the tie, Ncikazi made mention of how they will go into the tie as if they are starting from scratch with a win and progression the only things in mind.

“Our mentality is simple, it’s a 0-0 match,” Ncikazi told OP TV.

“We have to play the match to win tomorrow [today, Wednesday] against a tough opponent who I think also want the same.

“For us, it’s just to go the semi-finals, we have to win the match tomorrow. That’s our mentality.

“We don’t analyse a previous performance in terms of the result, we only analyse what is going to happen tomorrow.

“And one mandate is to win the match tomorrow, and the consequence of winning will take us to the semi-final.”

Should Pirates seal progression, they will meet Pyramids FC who lost 2-0 in the second leg against FAR Rabat but went through 4-3 on aggregate.
