Official: BFA Announce SA Coach

The Botswana Football Association officially announced Morena Ramoreboli as their new head coach.

Ramoreboli takes over from the Zebras after leaving Botswana giants Jwaneng Galaxy. He served Galaxy with flying colours by winning Botswana’s Premier League back-to-back and helping the side to qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages for the first time.

After serving as the Zebras’ interim coach and guiding them to the 2025 AFCON by playing two draws against African powerhouse Egypt and Mauritania, he has been appointed as the new head coach and signed a two-year contract in the process.

He will be in charge of the AFCON that will be hosted in Morocco, and push to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Botswana is currently sitting third in Group G for the World Cup qualifiers with six points from four matches, three behind Algeria and Mozambique.

Ramoreboli will take charge of the first Botswana match as head coach in March when they face Algeria and then Somalia in the World Cup qualifiers in front of their home support.
