Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu’s arrival and possible signing has been confirmed at Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club.
Zungu, 32, has been in the football wilderness since his shock exit from the Chloorkop upon the expiry of his contract in July 2024, but could now be set to don the colours of the Red Castle.
Indications are that the Duduza-born hard-tackling midfielder will likely join up with his former mentor during his time at Sundowns, Rulani Mokwena, having forged a close-knitted relationship.
Their reunion hasn’t materialized quicker than it had been anticipated, but the Red Castle have now since announced that Zungu could be signed pending the technical team’s assessment.
