Orlando Pirates loanee Gilberto won the Girabola with Petro de Luanda with one game to spare.
Gilberto arrived at Pirates at the beginning of the 2024/25 season with high expectations but struggled for game time under Jose Riveiro making just 12 appearances in all competitions.
The 23-year-old re-joined Luanda on loan in January, and has helped the Angolan giants to defend their league title.
On Sunday, Petro beat Sagrada Esperance 1-0 to move to 65 points – five ahead of second-placed Wiliete to secure their 19th Girabola title.
Former Cape Town City goalkeeper Hugo Marquez was also part of the league-winning squad.
