Santos Set For Next Move After Petro Exit

Former Petro de Luanda head coach Alexandre Santos is set to make a switch to Tunisia with CS Sfaxien.

After winning three consecutive league titles in Angola, Santos departed the club and was linked with Wydad, Simba SC and Kaizer Chiefs.

While Chiefs opted to make a move for Nasreddine Nabi, Santos has since been approached by Sfaxien ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The eight-time league champions are said to be launching an ambitious new project under new investors, having last won the title in the 2012/13 season.

Santos arrived in similar circumstances at Petro, who had last won the Girabola in 2009, before his three seasons of triumph.

This publication has been informed the two parties have agreed personal terms on a two-year deal, which could be finalised by the end of this week.
