Mamelodi Sundowns and Mbabane Swallows have announced their starting lineups for this evening’s TotalEnergies CAF Champions League second-leg clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Sundowns seem to have found their feet in the new season after scoring six goals in their last two matches including two goals against their rivals SuperSport United in the Betway Premiership.
Masandawana has one foot in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League group stages after hammering Swallows 4-0 in the first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium, which was their ‘away’ game. Lucas Ribeiro scored twice, Iqraam Rayners opened his account, and defender Mosa Lebusa also scored.
Swallows used Lucas Moripe Stadium as their home venue after no stadium was approved by CAF in Eswatini. The Edwatini champions have a mountain to climb as they need to overturn a four-goal margin if they stand a chance of making it to the CAFCL group stages.
This will be the 10th successive time Sundowns reach the CAF Champions League group stages, and they’ve won the trophy once in 2016.
Here is how they line up:
Sundowns XI: Onyango, Lunga, Khoza, De Reuck, Mdunyelwa, Aubaas, Saavedra, Mkhulise, Lorch, Kodisang, Shalulile.
Subs: Pieterse, Modiba, Letlhaku, Zwane, Maathews, Mabena, Maseko, Johannes, Coetzee
