Kaizer Chiefs duo Edmilson Dove and Fiacre Ntwari have earned call-ups to their respective national teams for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Dove, returns to the Mozambique national team squad after returning from injury with aplomb, showing impressive form after a long-term absence.
The defender won two of his five matches since his return, where he’s completed 90 minutes in each of the games.
He will be aiming to add to his 36 national team caps, having last featured for Os Mambas at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast before his injury he suffered in pre-season with Amakhosi.
His nation are second in Group G, level on points with Algeria after four games played and take on Uganda and Les Verts in this upcoming national team week.
Meanwhile their off-season signing Ntwari, is expected to take the first-choice gloves for Rwanda, who currently lead Group C, ahead of South Africa, via goal difference.
The 25-year-old who was signed from TS Galaxy has lost his place in the starting line-up at club level to Bruce Bvuma since matchday six in the league but remains an integral part of the national team set-up.
He’s only missed one of their last 17 games, as they now prepare to face Nigeria and Lesotho in the upcoming days.
