Leopards Set To Reschuffle Their Technical Team

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards are set to reshuffle their technical team following a run of lukewarm results.

Leopards appointed Zeca Marques as their head coach early in February after they fired Ghananian mentor Maxwell Konadu.

Marques has been in charge of five league matches, winning two, drawing two, and losing one. They scored nine goals, conceding five.

This publication understands that Marques has been demoted from head coach to third assistant coach, while journeyman Joel Masutha is expected to take over as the head coach and Abel Makhubela will be the second assistant coach.

However, it remains unclear whether Marques will accept the new role or he will leave the club.

Leopards currently sitting in seventh position with 31 points in 22 games – five points behind second and third place.

They have eight games to play, four of those in their own backyard. The reshuffling of the technical team comes with a mandate of at least qualifying for the promotional playoffs come end of the season.

Their first task will be against rivals Baroka FC at home after the international break, with Bakgakga themselves set to have a new coach in Dan Malesela, before facing another Limpopo side in Venda Football Club.
