Orlando Pirates continued their unbeaten start to the 2026/26 Betway Premiership season with a 3-0 win over TS Galaxy at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Tuesday evening.

Galaxy started the game off the pitch leading up to the game with social media banter – some, which may have went over the top, depending who you ask. But Pirates showed no signs of being baited this time around.

The fixture, in the past had flare ups off the pitch between technical staff and security but nothing of the sort this time around, and surprisingly Galaxy, without head coach Bernard Parker, who reportedly resigned started the brighter.

Several training ground techniques were visible in the way they pressed and moved the ball to overload wide areas in transitions, but that finishing touch – as usually the case with the smaller sides in the division.

And Pirates took advantage, with a well-worked passage of play leading to a tap in for Boitumelo Radiopane to find the opener and that proved the only goal of the opening half.

The likes of Simphiwe Masilela, and Oswin Appollis were industrious in attack, supporting ‘Radioman’ while the ever hard-working Giamphani Lungu handed debutant right-back Bulelani Sigomoshe plenty of support, as he deputised for the injured Kamogelo Sebelebele.

Appollis, however, went off injured, and was replaced by Tshepang Moremi and quickly into the second half, he added the second, to offer some breathing space.

The impressive Masilela, who’s showing signs of becoming a real force in the starting line-up added the third goal with ten minutes to go to seal the victory.

The win moves them them up to 22 points, one behind Mamelodi Sundowns – who have played one game more and thrashed Richards Bay 4-1 this evening at Princes Magogo Stadium.
