Raja Athletic Club head coach Josef Zinnbauer has shared some insight on his rival in the Moroccan League and Kaizer Chiefs-linked coach Nasreddine Nabi, saying the latter wants to be at an ambitious club.
Nabi has been heavily tipped for the Amakhosi hotseat, and recently broke his silence, admitting that he has indeed received an offer from Naturena though they are not the only club after his services.
The man who pipped him to the Botola Pro League title on the last day, Zinnbauer, spoke to iDiski Times digital editor David Kappel in the latest edition of the newspaper, and said Nabi was the toughest opponent he faced off against this season.
The former Orlando Pirates coach also added that it’s not really important for the Tunisian coach to go to Chiefs, but he wants a club where he can win titles.

“I can only say, he’s a nice guy,” Zinnbauer told iDiski Times.
“We met and we respect each other. For me, he’s a good guy as a person. As a coach, if you go now to his CV, he won a lot of titles. So that means he’s a good coach, he has to be. Against him, we had two games, we had two draws and it was always a fight and a tactical battle. For me, it was the hardest two games in the league, it was the best opponent for us to measure us.
“And I think, for him it’s not important whether he gets Kaizer Chiefs or another club, for him it’s important that he can get a club where he can win a title. I think he’s always keen on titles. And we have the same situation now in two weeks. Maybe we can play each other in the Cup final. They are in the semi-final, we are in the semi-final. If we both win we meet in the final. So it’s the next fight, maybe.”
