Mamelodi Sundowns captain Themba Zwane is not sure when he will hang up his boots, saying he will go for as long as he still feels fresh and fit.
Zwane is one of the longest serving players at Sundowns and is closing in on 14 years as a Downs player having arrived in January 2011 but was loaned out once to Mpumalanga Black Aces before making his return to the club and never looked back.
He has won 14 trophies including nine league titles, the second most at the club currently behind goalkeeper Denis Onyango who has won 12 and the Bafana Bafana midfielder still has a chance to add more trophies with the CAF Champions League final against Pyramids on the horizon as well as the FIFA Club World Cup.
The 35-year-old mentioned that he still wants to play and wants to win more and represent the national team. With the next AFCON in December, Mshishi will push himself to return to the national team and possible the 2026 FIFA World Cup should SA qualify.
“For me, no I haven’t set time of when I will stop playing but as long as I still feel fresh, still feel fit, I will keep going,” Mshishi said as per PrimeSportsWithMahlatse.
“Because I still want to win more, I still want to represent the country, so I have to push myself.”
