After Hugo Broos announced his 23-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, here are the 15 players who were cut.
Broos had announced an initial 38-man squad ahead of the AFCON qualifiers against Uganda (6 September) and in South South Sudan (10 September).

Broos had to cut down 15 players from his preliminary, with Ronwen Williams and Mothobi Mvala missing out due to injury.
In addition, Broos also cut Sundowns’ Terence Mashego, Bathusi Aubaas and Thapelo Maseko.
One of the biggest omissions from his was 2023 CAF Interclub Player of the Year, Percy Tau who has been in and out of Al Ahly’s squad recently.
Dutch-born striker Simon Van Duivenbooden, who received his passport in July, as reported by iDiski Times, also needs to wait a bit longer for his Bafana debut.
