Bafana Bafana and Zambia have announced their starting XIs for today’s encounter, with a place in the COSAFA Cup final up for grabs.
Morena Ramoreboli’s men have picked up seven points from Group A, despite falling behind in every game, saving 2-1 wins over Botswana and Eswatini after drawing 1-1 with Namibia.
As a consequence, the makeshift Bafana side topped Group A, while Zambia qualified as best runners-up.
Last year’s winners lost their Group B opener 1-0 to Malawi before beating Comoros 2-1 and Seychelles 4-2.
Both sides met each other in the group stages of the 2021 COSAFA Cup when Bafana won the tournament under Ramoreboli, playing out a goalless draw in the group stages.
Overall, Bafana and Chipolopolo have met 14 times, with South Africa winning five clashes, while Zambia ran out victorious seven times and three ended in a draw.
The winner of the match will face the winner of Malawi and Lesotho in Sunday’s final.
