Hugo Broos has named his Bafana Bafana starting line-up that will face co-hosts Canada in the FIFA World Cup Last 32 clash at SoFi Stadium tonight.

Bafana qualified for the FIFA World Cup knockout stages for the first time in history after finishing in second place in Group A.

The journey started with a 2-0 loss against co-hosts Mexico before coming from behind to secure a much-needed point against Czechia.

The last group stage match against South Korea was a tricky one, even though the history favored the African side against South Korea. Bafana indeed made use of the history as they managed to cause one of the World Cup upsets by beating South Korea 1-0 to advance to the Last 32.

Canada come to this game on a high too after also making the knockout stages for the very first time. The co-hosts started their tournament with a 1-1 draw Bosnia and Herzegovina before thrashing Qatar 6-0 to secure their spot in the Last 32. But they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Switzerland in their last group match.

This is the first time these two sides face each other in the World Cup, but Bafana beat Canada 2-0 in an international friendly in 2007, thanks to a brace by Teko Modise.

Here is how they line up:

Bafana Bafana XI: Williams, Mudau, Okon, Mbokazi, Modiba, Mokoena, Sithole, Mofokeng, Appollis, Maseko, Makgopa

Subs: Chaine, Goss, Matuludi, Ndamane, Kabini, Sibisi, Makhanya, Cross, Mbatha, Adams, Moremi, Foster, Rayners, Sebelebele
