Bafana Cosafa Cup Squad Confirmed

The 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for the 2024 Cosafa Cup squad has officially been confirmed.

It represents a fairly inexperienced squad with several of the more high-profile players, presumably being unable to join in for the tournament in Gqeberha over the next few weeks.

The likes of Stellenbosch have four players in the squad after their third-place finish in the DStv Premiership, including Thabo Moloisane, Athenkosi Mcaba, Antonio van Wyk and Devin Titus, but players from Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs were seemingly withdrawn after appearing in the preliminary squad.

Bafana are in Group A, and will vie it out against Mozambique, eSwatini and the Zebras of Botswana.

The tournament will run from 26 June until 7 July – with South Africa hosting it for the seventh consecutive time.
