Sinesipho Mali has confirmed his Bafana Bafana exit as Head of Performance Analysis after serving in the role for four years.
Mali made headlines in the current FIFA World Cup after South Africa beat South Korea in the group stages by 1-0 to qualify for the knockout stages for the very first time in history.

This comes after millions of South Africans expressed their unhappiness from Bafana Bafana’s approach in their opening game against co-hosts Mexico which they lost 2-0.
South African footballers threw insults on Mali via social media questioning his level of understanding football.
The former Kaizer Chiefs scout allowed emotions to get the better of him as he reacted on what football fans said to him citing things even worse as the people emotionally abused him.
First thing Mali did when he touched down was to apologize to the South Africans on Metro FM with Andile Ncube before announcing the resignation at Bafana.
“I address you today with humility, responsibility, and deep reflection. Before I speak about my journey or my contribution to South African football, I want to begin with an apology,” said Mali.
“I sincerely apologise to the country, to the supporters of Bafana Bafana, to SAFA, to my colleagues, to the players, to the technical team, to the media, and to everyone who felt offended and disappointed by the remarks I made and the tone I used after the historic match against South Korea.
“In the heat of the moment, my emotions got the better of me. This does not excuse what happened.
“Representing South Africa requires discipline, maturity, and respect at all times. Upon reflection, I accept that I could have handled myself better. I could have chosen my words better and I take responsibility for that.
“My remarks were never intended to disrespect the country, the badge, the supporters, the media or the game. However, I understand the intention does not erase impact. If my words embarrased the nation, offended the people or took attention from the players and the team’s achievement, I’m truly sorry.
“I also confirm that I will no longer serve as Head of Performance Analysis for Bafana Bafana going forward. This is a decision I made months before the World Cup,” he said.
