Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has confirmed the withdrawal of Mihlali Mayambela ahead of their final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan.
Broos named his 23-man squad on Thursday afternoon, ahead of their crucial qualifiers that kick off in Kampala on Friday, before returning next week to host South Sudan at the DHL Stadium, their first match in Cape Town in a close to a decade.

The squad reported for camp on Monday, and are scheduled for their first training session at Dobsonville Stadium, Soweto.
Sadly Mayambela, who had returned to the squad after impressing the Belgian tactician, had to be withdrawn after picking up an injury over the weekend, and he has been replaced by Stellenbosch FC winger Devin Titus.
“Unfortunately, Mayembela will not join us in camp, and he will be replaced by Devin Titus from Stellenbosch FC,” Broos told SAFA.net Monday.
