Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos is confident Mothobi Mvala and Khuliso Mudau will be fit to face Morocco in the last-16 of the Africa Cup of Nations.
South Africa takes on the North Africans on Tuesday in San Pedro after finishing second in Group E ahead of Namibia and Tunisia.
However, in their 0-0 draw with the Carthage Eagles, Mvala and Mudau suffered knocks, with the latter having to be hauled off at half-time with an ankle problem.
“We had two problems after the game against Tunisia, Mothobi got a direct kick, not really a problem, he’s treated but it’s painful, might not be a problem for Tuesday,” Broos said.
“Khuliso when I saw him walk I had doubts for Tuesday, but the next day he was walking again, he’s having treatment and might not have so many problems anymore, so he’s progressing well, I’m optimistic that Khuliso will be ready for the team.”
The two sides meet on the coast of Ivory Coast on Tuesday at 22h00 local time.
