Ex-Chiefs Winger Not Giving Up On Bafana Return

Former Kaizer Chefs winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has admitted that he has not given up on playing for the senior national team.

The 27-year-old has just four Bafana Bafana caps to his name, with his one coming in September 2022 for the international friendlies against Sierra Leone and Botswana, while still on the books of Chiefs.

Upon his exit from Stellenbosch FC, where he won the Carling Knockout Cup, Sekgota joined Betway Premiership rookies Magesi FC where he hopes to also revive his international career.

“Obviously you’ll never give up if you are South African to represent South Africa,” Sekgota told iDiski Times in his brief chat with Lethabo Kganyago.

“It will happen with God’s will, hard work and with focus. So I’m here at home, feeling fresh, looking forward to the new season.

“I have been there [national team]. I mean why can’t I do it again? I’m here to play football and the results of football always speak for themselves.”
