Official: Former Bucs Midfielder Makgaka Lands New PSL Club

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Collins Makgaka has signed for Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Baroka FC on a one-year deal, with a further one-year option.

The 28-year-old has been a free agent since parting ways with Sekhukhune United at the close of last season, and now returns to the Limpopo-based side since leaving the club for Gauteng in 2020.

Makgaka has been trialling with Baroka for over two weeks now and has sealed a return to his former employers where his professional career began.

The Telkom Knockout Cup and MTN8 winner was one of the notable new players Bakgaga unveiled at the club’s village in Lebowakgomo on Saturday afternoon.

Baroka are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign as they once again aim to give it a go at topflight promotion after narrowly missing out in the PSL Promotion playoffs.
