With Bafana Bafana taking on Nigeria in Uyo this evening, the public broadcaster SABC has confirmed they will be showing the match live.
It is a highly-anticipated clash between the AFCON silver and bronze medal winners, who met at the semi-final of the continental showpiece.

It was a tightly contested affair, with Bafana forcing the game into extra-time after Teboho Mokoena’s late equaliser from the penalty spot following William Troost-Ekong’s opener.
Khuliso Mudau had a massive chance to win the game in 90 minutes but it went to extra-time and penalties, where the Super Eagles progressed.
Friday night’s match, is an important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, with Bafana currently sitting in third place in Group C with three points after beating Benin 2-1 before their surprise loss to Rwanda.
Meanwhile, Nigeria started their campaign with 1-1 draws with Lesotho and Zimbabwe, but have since changed head coaches with Finidi George taking over from Jose Peseiro after the AFCON.
As a consequence it’s more than bragging rights on offer, and many South Africans will be keen to tune it – and the good news is, it will be shown on SABC1.
