Bafana Bafana defender Samukele Kabini is convinced there’s isn’t much of a difference between how Hugo Broos and Pitso Mosimane set up their teams.

Kabini’s sentiments come as Mosimane has started his second stint as the senior national team coach with back-to-back wins in the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea, commanding first place in qualifying Group D with six points.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach kept the core of Broos’ squad saying it is the base of the team.

The 22-year-old Molde KF left-back has played for both men in the team though not featuring much in official matches under the Belgian while he’s already been on the score-sheet and assisted in Mosimane’s side.

Speaking to iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler in edition 275 of the newspaper, the former TS Galaxy man said things feel the same even the positive energy and mind-set.

“I don’t feel like there’s major differences,” Kabini told iDiski Times.

“It feels the same as the last times. He didn’t want to change a lot of things – he just wanted us to continue the way we did things, even before he was not here.

“So yeah – the vibes and everything in the camp is still the same, maybe some small things. He said he doesn’t want to change much, with the team doing well, the mentality is there. He just wanted to add on what we have, as the new coach.”

“Not changing but adding on things to a good team and continue from there.”
