Bafana Bafana were unmoved in the latest FIFA rankings in 59th worldwide and 10th in Africa.
Having moved into the top 10 after their exploits at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by finishing in third place, Bafana Bafana have remained steady in the rankings.
Hugo Broos’ side drew 1-1 with Nigeria (38th) and beat Zimbabwe (129th) 3-1 in their recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
But the 8.99 points was not enough to secure a jump in the rankings, as they remained place in the same spot for both World and CAF standings.
Meanwhile, Morocco overtook Senegal as highest-ranked African nation and moved into 12th position overall after beating Zambia (2-1) and Congo (6-0) in their recent WC qualifiers, while Senegal drew 1-1 with Congo DR and beat Mauritania 1-0.
Egypt and Ivory Coast have overtaken Nigeria after the Super Eagles 1-1 draw with Bafana and their shock 2-1 loss to Benin.
The rest of the top 10 CAF teams nearly stayed unchanged, apart from Cameroon climbing above Mali after the latter lost 2-1 to Ghana and drew 0-0 with Madagascar.
