Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana could be in line for a off-season transfer with Esperance Sportive de Tunis receiving an approach from a Russian Premier League club.
Mokwana, 25, has just completed his first season with Esperance, as they concluded a gruelling 2024/25 campaign in the United States of America at the FIFA Club World Cup.
He featured in all three games as they lost to Flamengo, beat Los Angeles FC and lost to Chelsea, suffering a group stage exit. But his seven goals and four assists in 38 games this season has earned him interest from Russia.
Sources have indicated Taraji are open to a potential sale, as they look to revamp their squad with new foreign recruits, with Brazilian Rodrigo Rodrigues already leaving the club.
Mokwana has not hid his desire to make a move to Europe, with the transfer from Sekhukhune to Tunisia seen as the potential gateway.
