Morocco head coach Walid Regragui admits the attacking Mamelodi Sundowns players will pose a threat to his side at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Atlas Lions, who finished fourth at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and Bafana Bafana are both already qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations ahead of their clash on Saturday.
And while the North Africans dominated South Africa in Rabat in their 2-1 win in the reverse fixture of the group, Bafana boss Hugo Broos said they will look to compete this time around and show their quality in front of the home support.
When asked by iDiski Times in the pre-match press conference, who he feels will pose his side a threat, Regragui warned his outfit, that both teams have changed since last year.
“I think it’s a different game now than one year ago, [the teams] changed a lot, it’s teams that have qualified now and the pressure is not on the team,” he said.
“Bafana is qualified, Morocco is qualified, there’s different sprit on the pitch. I know this team, a lot of players from Mamelodi Sundowns, they want to play football, good football.
“It’s an offensive squad and I think it’s a hard game for us tomorrow, I have lots of tired players after this season, some played more than 50 games in the year, with the World Cup, with emotions everyone want to go on holiday but the job is a job.
“You need to do your best to keep three points and you show you are a big team in Africa.”
The game at Soccer City will kick off at 17h00.
