Ngezana Starts And Inspires FCSB To Europa League Win

Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Ngezana started the UEFA Europa League on a positive note after playing 90 minutes in FCSB’s 1-0 away victory against Go Ahead Eagles on Thursday night.

Ngezana has been an ever-present figure for the Romanian champions since making the switch from Kaizer Chiefs in 2023 for a reported €600,000 (±R12m) fee.

Their next European match will see them host Young Boys on Thursday, October 2, at Arena Nationala in Bucharest.

He has however been excluded from head coach Hugo Broos’ preliminary squad for the final 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers double header against Rwanda and Zimbabwe after sustaining an injury in the Nigeria clash before making a return to Bucharest.
