Mamelodi Sundowns defender Grant Kekana remains hopeful of earning a recall to the Bafana Bafana squad in the near future.
Kekana was left out of the squad selected by new head coach Pitso Mosimane for the AFCON qualifiers against Guinea and Eritrea, as well as the friendly against Egypt.

Kekana has also been overlooked during the latter part of Hugo Broos’ reign, meaning he missed out on both the AFCON and FIFA World Cup tournaments.
The defender insists he will keep putting in the work while waiting for his opportunity. At the same time, Kekana was quick to acknowledge that the players selected by Mosimane are deserving of their call-ups.
“I’m feeling good and better than I’ve been in the long time,” said Kekana on SNAWA.
“It’s just for me to continue working, I think there’s still a chance for me but all the players that have been selected are fully deserving of their places.
“I think it’s going to be a nice time to watch them. Coach Pitso has got something to build.
“I think they will do well and for me it’s just about working hard and waiting for my turn.”
