Defending champions Banyana Banyana and the Black Queens have named strong respective line-ups for this evening’s afternoon’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Group C opener at the Honneur Stadium in Oujda on Monday evening (18:00).
The sides are ranked second and sixth in Africa respectively and have locked horns five times and the stats have South Africa with four wins, with one victory for the Black Queens.

The last time these countries played each other at the tournament was in Cameroon in 2016 where Ghana won 1-0 to finish in third position. The top two sides in each group plus two best runners up will advance to the knockout stage of the tournament in Morocco.
Though Ghana was not present at the last edition, they are in a rebuilding phase winning two friendlies and losing one game in recent matches to prepare for the competition.
Banyana are unbeaten in their preparations winning six matches and drawing one.
