Wade had been sidelined with a lengthy injury and is on the road to recovery as she looks to get her European odyssey off to a good start.
On Tuesday, she took to Instagram to confirm that her surgery was done though she was unable to say if it was a success saying:

“Just wanted to let everyone know that everything went well today. My orthopaedic surgeon cleaned out a lot of scar tissue around my Achilles and also trimmed down one of the muscles that may have been contributing to the pain.
“It’s still too early to know whether it’s been completely successful, but the surgeon is very optimistic, and that’s the best news I could have hoped for today.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in, sent messages, and kept me in your thoughts. Really looking forward to getting back to doing what I love.” ❤️⚽
She recently penned a two-year contract with Åland United, a top division club in Finland after a strong 2025/26 season in the Hollywoodbets Super League, where she helped JVW FC to a second-place finish.
The former University of Johannesburg player also walked away with the Midfielder of the Season accolade at the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League end of season awards.
