Banyana Banyana head coach Dr Desiree Ellis has emphasized on further improvement as they look to round off their second & final friendly international with a win against Malawi at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this afternoon.
Ellis’ charges were in rampant mood as they claimed a 3-0 win over the weekend as they continue to use these matches as part of their preparations for Banyana’s defense of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco in three months.

The former Banyana captain has called on her troops to be more ruthless in the final third as well as improve their overall performance.
“Look we want to obviously improve in all aspects especially in the final third,” Ellis told Safa.net.
“We created a few opportunities, but you know that needs to be better and through that we could have scored more goals. But it’s not just about that it’s about the overall performance.
“I thought we were good in our possession but sometimes we just gave the ball away so that has to better as well when we talk about improving and putting up a performance to get a result.
Meanwhile, the game is also a send-off for veteran midfielder Nompumelelo “Mbuzi” Nyandeni who will earn her long-awaited 150th cap before she hangs up her international boots, expressing her excitement at her ‘last dance’.
“I can say I’m happy that tomorrow [Tuesday] is my last dance,” said Nyandeni.
“It’s the last time my fans can come and watch me because I’m representing the national team for the last time. I’m very happy and excited and I’m looking forward.”
