Desiree Ellis has announced her final Banyana Banyana squad for the crunch Olympic qualifiers against Nigeria.
Banyana will take on the Super Falcons in the fourth qualifying round on 5 April in Nigeria before hosting them at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 9 April.
The winner of the tie will qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where the winner will face Brazil, Spain and Japan.
However, Ellis and her squad suffered a blow after Sundowns Ladies goalkeeper Dlamini had to withdraw due to medical reasons.
Banyana have risen above many difficult tasks in recent years, including winning their first-ever match at a FIFA Women’s World Cup and reaching the knockout stages for the very first time last year.
A year earlier they lifted South Africa’s first-ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title, beating Nigeria 2-1 in the opener of the 2022 tournament.
While Dlamini misses out, captain Refiloe Jane makes the squad for the first time since her serious injury from the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup.
