Fresh from the Nedbank Cup triumph Kaizer Chiefs missed a chance to get back into the top half of the league log when they came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Sekhukhune United in Polokwane on Saturday.
Babina Noko scored first through Elias Rammala in the opening five minutes to see themselves in fourth place on the table with 46 points while Glody Lilepo found the equaliser in injury-time of the first half.
The result sees Chiefs remain in ninth place on the table with 31 points, while Sekhukhune dropped into fourth place with both having one more game to wrap up the season.
Meanwhile there were attempts from Thabang Monare in the 10th minute and Mncube and Keletso Makgalwa who were all denied by Brandon Petersen.
The visitors had chances to get back into the game with captain Yusuf Maart denied twice by Renaldo Leaner. Lilepo could have scored earlier after Zitha Kwinika set him up just after the half hour mark however the DR Congo international shot over the bar.
But Chiefs persisted and were rewarded in extra time of the half when Maart set-up Lilepo who was allowed to move with ball from his own half until he took the shot that saw Chiefs level 1-1 at the break.

Amakhosi made one change at the start of the second half introducing Mduduzi Shabalala for an injured Gaston Sirino. Leaner was the busier of the goalkeepers in the stanza denying Chiefs two chances including that of Solomon in the 55th minute.
A minute later it was Sekhukhune with a shot after Makgalwa found Rammala in the box but the latter hit the ball slightly wide. Mncube also missed a clear cut chance in the 65th minute.
Chiefs could have stolen the headlines through Pule Mmodi who missed an open net as Leaner was out of position in the last 20 minutes of the encounter. Chiefs finished the game with 10 men as Mmodi was sent off for a tackle on Shaun Mogaila.
Chiefs host Polokwane City in their final game of the season, while Sekhukhune are away at Golden Arrows.
