TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic reveals that they shut the middle of the park in order to nullify Kaizer Chiefs who were capitalising on their mistakes.
Galaxy made a lot of mistakes against Chiefs in the first half with Gaston Sirino and Glody Lilepo failing to punish them. The goal they conceded also came from a mistake from their left-back Solomon Letsoenyo who passed the ball to Sirino.
Chiefs didn’t create many chances, instead Galaxy made lots of errors in their own half which was not taken by Chiefs as they went into the halftime break with a slender 1-0 which was not the safest scoreline.
Beganovic explained that he noticed that and had to quickly come up with a new plan for the second period which seems to have worked as he introduced Siphesihle Maduna who immediately changed the game in a positive way, controlling the midfield and Galaxy equalized.
“When we analysed first-half inside the dressing room, we saw Kaizer Chiefs just want to use our mistakes and play on counterattack and then we closed the middle,” he told the media.

“I put one midfielder player who is fresh who can keep the ball and then we have our success because Maduna played well when he came.” Beganovic explained to the media.
“We had possession, we didn’t lose the ball easily in the middle and we created chances when he came in. I’m so happy with how he played.”
