AmaZulu are set to sign highly-rated midfielder Thapelo Matlhoko from Kruger United ahead of the 2025/26 season.
After scoring four goals in 22 games for one of the surprise packages, as they finished just three points off the final playoff spot, his talents naturally attracted top-flight clubs.
However, sources have confirmed Usuthu have reached a verbal agreement to sign the player for the upcoming season and view him as a emerging talent that could develop into a regular player of their first team squad.
With Celimpilo Ngema and Rowan Human both leaving the club in recent weeks, the need for reinforcements in his position has become a priority for the Arthur Zwane-led side who finished sixth in the league last season.
