AmaZulu has embarked on a European tour with Director of Football Pedro Dias, club executives Mfundo Zungu and Sinenjabulo Zungu-Ntuli this month.
In a bid to expand their horizons and gain critical insights into youth development and club strategies with some of the elite clubs in Portugal and Spain.
Currently led by Spanish head coach Pablo Franco Martin, the club perhaps has not shown the results expected of them this season, but it appears along with Dias, long-term foundations are being set at the Durban-based outfit.
“For us at AmaZulu FC and within our management, this trip represented a valuable opportunity to delve into various aspects and methodologies employed by major European clubs in youth development and operational management,” Dias told the club’s website.
“We were pleased to find that AmaZulu is already aligned with many of these best practices. Now, our focus lies on improving our physical infrastructure, particularly our facilities, and fine-tuning our operational processes.”
Usuthu are currently 12th in the league and face off against Orlando Pirates on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium (17h30).
