In the latest edition of iDiski Times, Bafana Bafana and Polokwane City star Oswin Appollis helped build his ‘perfect PSL player’.
In a new ’Footballer DNA Feature‘, Appollis looks at which South African players’ key abilities he would meld together to make the ideal player.

Appollis was asked to select attributes from the players he’s either played with or against throughout his career, and picked Chiefs’ forward Du Preez for pace.
“I think Ashley Du Preez. He is lightning-quick. Yoh, his speed is very fast,” he said.
“I think it’s more speed than acceleration with Ashley, more speed for me. There are some others that are fast as well, so I don’t really know about who is fastest in the league, but Ashley on and off the ball is lightning.”
He then moved on to several other topics, including the best right foot in the PSL, picking Mamelodi Sundowns’ Teboho Mokoena, who he’s played with at Bafana.
“When it comes to the guy with the best right foot, haai, it’s got to be Teboho Mokoena,” he explained.
“Ja, Teboho Mokoena. I worked with both him and Aubrey at Bafana, they’d give me advice and guidance, when to go near post, far post, you know. But what a right foot.”
