Former Borussia Dortmund forward Delron Buckley has tipped Orlando Pirates starlet Mohau Nkota for stardom provided he gets correct guidance from his coaches.
The 20-year-old impressed at Pirates’ development side and earned himself a promotion to the first team this season.
He has played 10 matches across all competitions this campaign and scored four goals.
The former South African international told iDiski Times digital editor David Kappel in edition 185 of the newspaper that he loves how comfortable the attacker is on the ball, the danger he poses and the player’s skills among other qualities.
The 47-year-old however believes that Nkota has plenty of room for improvement and the right coaches can steer him in the right direction.
“There’s a player from Pirates, the young boy [Mohau] Nkota,” Buckley told iDiski Times.
“I think it is his first season. The one with the left foot. I mean, he’s impressed me in a way, but you can still see he is wet behind the ears.
“He still needs guidance to get to that type of level. But he’s gonna be a top player. He’s impressed me quite a lot.
“He’s a threat. He has the ball on his foot. He’s a danger. He can dribble, but as I said that you can still see, he’s still wet behind the ears.
“He needs to learn a lot, but he will be a good player if he has the right coaches, pushing him in the right direction and teaching him.”
