Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma says he is happy that he has returned to Nasreddine Nabi’s starting line-up.
Bvuma, 29, returned to the Chiefs starting line-up in a 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium, and then became Chiefs’ first goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet this season in a 1-0 win over Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
But he conceded his second goal in three matches in a 1-0 loss against Cape Town City at DHL Stadium.
Last season, Bvuma had the most clean sheets at Chiefs with nine, while Brandon Petersen had four in all competitions.
The Chiefs development product explained his excitement to be back in the starting line-up and emphasised that the pressure won’t get into him.
“The pressure has always been there, whether we are winning or losing. I knew it before coming to this team. I knew that there’s pressure, every player knows that there’s always pressure at Chiefs,” Bvuma told the media.
“This is something that we have to find a way of handling and of course, I am happy that I am playing again. I had to be patient, I had to work hard, and wait for my opportunity to come.
“Obviously it doesn’t make things easier when we are losing and conceding. But it’s part of the game, but the doesn’t get pressure me.
“Because I’ve been here, I know how things work so I just have to keep on working hard.”
