Cardoso Comments On Venue For Polokwane Tie

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has shared his thoughts on the smaller venue where his side will face Polokwane City in their upcoming fixture.

The Brazilians recently dropped points in a 0-0 draw against Richards Bay in the Betway Premiership at the small uMhlathuze Sports Complex, a venue Cardoso felt disrupted their usual style of play.

Looking ahead, Sundowns will once again have to adapt, as their fixture against Rise and Shine has been moved to Seshego Stadium.

The change comes after Old Peter Mokaba Stadium was booked to host a COSATU May Day rally during the same week.

Cardoso stated he doesn’t even know the name of the venue where the match will play, sarcastically saying it’s a “big stadium nice for the level of the PSL” matches.

“Look, we have to think match after match,” said Cardoso.

“But it seems that we’re going to play somewhere, in some place in the countryside. They found a place to make this match. I don’t know even the name of it.

“Yeah, it’s their big stadium, nice for this level of matches. So, we’ll be very pleased to have that in place.”
