Orlando Pirates coach Abdelsam Ouaddou has announced their starting line-up for the Soweto Derby against their biggest rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, at FNB Stadium.
High-flying Pirates have an opportunity to go top of the Betway Premiership if they manage to get maximum points this afternoon. The Buccaneers are currently on a 21-match unbeaten run in the league, having last lost a league match in February at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns.
The defending champions are currently in second place with 22 points after eight games, one behind Sundowns who have played one more game. They have conceded only one goal this season, a penalty against AmaZulu FC. Ouaddou’s side is the second-highest-scoring team, with 19 goals, behind Sundowns.
The Buccaneers have enjoyed facing Chiefs in the league of late, having won five of the last six matches.
Here’s how they line up:
Pirates XI: Chaine, Ndaba, Seema, Sibisi, Hotto, Selepe, Mbatha, Mokobodi, Moremi, Masilela, Mbuthuma.
SUBS: Dladla, Kgositsile, Padime, Zulu, Mthiyane, Lungu, Nkota, Makgopa, Appollis.
